A Guide To CSCS Cards

Information On the different CSCS Cards.

The construction industry is one of the largest collective employers within the UK, with  around 2.7 million people employed. This figure is set to rise over the next decade, with a growing demand for infrastructure and government funding for new projects earmarked.
Most construction sites, especially the larger ones, will require that you have a CSCS card. The CSCS card demonstrates that you are qualified to work on construction sites.

What Is A CSCS card?

CSCS stands for Construction Skills Certification Scheme Card. It is your proof that you have the necessary training to carry out the work that you will be carrying out.

You do not have to have a CSCS card to work within construction, however pretty much all major contractors, such as John O’Connor, Grahams, Kier Group to name a few, will insist that workers on their sites hold a valid card, otherwise you will be unable to work on their sites.
